  1. Whitney Aikens- A chemical reaction in which one or more reactants change into one or more products. You can identify that a chemical reaction has occured if the object has: changed color, or their is a form of precipitate

  2. A good definition to explain the chemicall reaction process is the change or transformation of one chemical or a group of chemicals into aanother chemical or set of chemicals. Ways that you know a chemical reaction has occured is that the texture of the substance may have changed. A list of ways to notice a chemical change is if gas bubbles, color change, if energy is taken or given, and if a new substance is formed.

  3. A chemical reaction is a process that occurs in the formation of a new product/substance. You know that a chemical reaction has occurred if gas is released(bubbles), color change, a new substance is produced, or heat is taken in or given off.

  4. A chemical reaction is a process in which a chemical or set of chemicals form into another chemical or set of chemicals. A chemical reaction has occurred when the color changes, gas is released, gas bubbles and a new substance is produced.

  5. A chemical reaction is a process that leads to the transformation of one set of chemical substances to another. Chemical reactions is another word for chemical changes. They are represented by chemical equations. Chemical reactions involve the breaking of bonds reactants to form products. I know that a chemical change has occurred because the outcome is different. Chemical changes may invovle color changes, rusting, tournishing, burning ,and cutting.

  6. A chemical reaction is a process that leads to the transformation of one set of chemical substances to another. You'll know that a chemical reaction has taken place when the texture, color, or temperature of a substance changes. Evidence- color, properties change, state(liquid, gas, or solid)

  7. Chemical reaction is a process that breaks bonding between reactants to form new bonding between the products. Chemical reaction can be observed if the reactants form precipitate, change color, release or take energy, or form gas.

  8. Evidence of a chemical reaction occuring is when a metal may rust from the reaction between the air and substances in the atmosphere with the iron and steel from the nail

  9. a chemical reaction can be observed as a change in substance color and somtimes smell. i know a reaction occurred becaus ethe liguid reacted with the stomach acid to make a gas. well he wasnt bloated before he drank the liguid

  11. A chemical reaction is a process that leads to the transformation of one set of chemical substances. When a chemical reaction has occured there will be a change in texture, color, and of temperature

  12. a chemical reaction is when the composition of matter changes. a chemical reaction happens when two reatants from a new substance also called the product. when a chemical reaction has occured, there would be a change in color, the production of gas, temperature change, and a formation of a precipitate.....

  13. a chemical reaction is a change in which a substance, or substances, is changed into one or more new sustances. You can tell a chemical reaction has occured when the chemical identity of the reactants is different from the products identity. This could be a physical change,and/or change in color and temperature.

  14. a chemical reaction is when one or more reactants change into one or more products. You can tell a chemical reaction has taken place when the chemical changes, the texture changes, gas bubbles are formed, a new substance is formed, and energy is taken in or given out.

  15. A chemical reaction is a reaction when one or more reactants change into one or more products. This causes new bonding between each individual product. Chemical reactions occur a lot but one way is by the interactions of their electrons. You also know when a chemical reaction has occurred because it changes color and gas is released. They can change different colors or their properties can and the production of a gas.

  16. Adrienne,
You did mention the examples for chemical reactions, however, I am concerned with one of those examples- cutting. Do you think cutting is chemical reaction? why?

  17. Many of you expressed couple of evidences but not all evidences. I wish you take some time to write complete answer.

  18. the best answer for this question is that a chemical reaction is a reaction when one or more reactants change into one or more products. when color, temperature, or texture changes. one way to know when a chemical reaction has occurs is when it can not be reversed to its original states. an example of a chemical reaction is when you mix a magnesim ribbon with fire the flame will change from yellow/orange to a bright white. another example of a chemical reaction is when you nix silver nitrate solution with potassium iodide the solution's appearance changes from clear to yellow.

  19. A chemical reaction is a reaction in which one or more substances are converted into different substances. The ways you could tell there is a chemical reaction is by the formation of precipitate(when precipitation is an outcome of the product), color change(when the color changes as the final product), gas formation(when gas is formed in the product(oxygen, carbon dioxide, etc.), temperature change(when the product of the substance temperature changes from one degree to another), and energy produced(when energy isc increased or formed of the product).

  20. A chemical reactions is when two or more substances or reactants combine to be converted into a new substance. You know a chemical reaction has taken place when a new substance is form. Some Evidence is when heat is released which is exothermic, or if fog or bubbles or there is a color change.

  21. A chemical reaction is a process in which one or more substances(the reactants) are converted to one or more different substances then reactants which is then called the product. You can usally tell when a chemcial reaction occurs when a change of color, a change in temperature or a release of enegry, or a forming of gas.

  22. A chemical reaction is the process in which elements, called reactants, are converted into different substances, using the same elements, called products. Mass is neither created nor destroyed, so the element nor do the amount of that element changes. Evidence of a chemical reaction occuring is the release of heat, gas, change of color, or a release of a precipitant

A chemical reaction is a change that a substance is changed into one or more new substances. A chemical reaction when two or more substances react to form a new substance. They always have a change in substance or energy. An example of a chemical reaction would be something like rust, whereas chicken noodle soup is more of a mixture. What basically happens is that due to the charges, an atom gets attracted to another atom, or a group of atoms with an opposite charge. When this happens, they bond, and when it bonds, a reaction happens. I honestly can't go far into detail here, but it's a small look into how it works. it'd take many more paragraphs to explain how it exactly works.

  24. A chemical reaction occurs when one or more reactants change into one or more products. The ways that I know a chemical reaction has occured is by a substance changing color, bubbling, etc. An example of a chemical change would be cutting an apple and letting it sit for 30 minutes to an hour and it turns brown.
